Cyclonic Filter

For (produced) water treatment In2sep developed a cyclonic  filter unit (patent pending) that makes de-oiling very efficient and economically advantageous.

Based on our expertise in de-oiling hydrocyclones we were able to downsize the cyclones making them applicable in small scale applications in the oil and gas industry but also in other business areas. On top of that some other design challenges were tackled which make the filter cyclones extremely efficient in many water treatment processes. This ground-breaking work resulted in our patented cyclonic filter.

• The standard In2sep cyclonic filter unit has a capacity of 2400 l/hr. Our cyclonic filtering systems are scalable to more than 100 m3/hr. Based on customer requirements In2sep can design the optimal configuration.
• The cyclonic filter unit can be used as a standalone separator.
• The cyclonic filter can also be used as a pre-separator in multi-stage separation systems (e.g. cyclonic filter with filter cartridges further downstream). This significantly reduces the oil stream to the filtration unit. A factor of 10 to 25 reduction of oil entering the filter cartridges is possible depending on the process conditions. Of course, this increases the time in which filter cartridges are fully accumulated with oil and reduces maintenance time considerably as well as leading to a significant reduction in consumables (filter cartridges).
